I -think- he was saying "look at the Sea Shepherd as an example of people that get things done" not that they don't do anything. that wouldn't make sense.
Yeah, I think/hope that's the case- the wording just confused me.

is there something going on there that is environmentally unfriendly or were they just using that because people peer out plane windows at it?

Anyway, publicity stunts help no one. PETA does that kind of crap too, and if anything it hurts the cause.

Of course, PETA also slaughters pets en masse whenever they get the chance.

They entered a heritage site that is thousands of years old, without permission and left foot prints on one of the unblemished Nazca Lines. The sign was made out of cloth, so that at least is environmentally friendly.
I think she meant "What's the Nazca lines have to do with the environment that they would target them?"

The answer being there's a international conference in Lima soon, I think. That was why they targeted Peru, to get the attention of those leaders.

They went about getting the attention of the leaders in totally the wrong way though.

How are they supposed to get their attention, then? World leaders have an annoying tendency to completely ignore such things.
Perhaps you could send them some suggestions?

yea trying to get people, especially powerful people, to care about the environment is somewhat difficult. There's no money in protecting it or preserving it.

"Briefs are not supposed to be brief". AFJKDL;AFJKDLF;JKLAGHFJKGHAIOJHHA WHY DO YOU CALL THEM THAT, THEN, COURTS FUCKING INCONSISTENT JACKASSES.

Doesn't help that LITERALLY EVERY PRIOR EXAMPLE we were given, and every prior brief we were supposed to write, was, in fact, very brief indeed. Truean, I just want you to know, every week for the past few months has only increased my respect for you, which is pretty damn impressive considering how high it started out.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

And now we have to move all of our boxes upstairs to the front door while he does nothing. My mom is just grabbing small decorations (I hate decorations so much at this point) and putting them wherever while I move boxes. Most of them are moved, aside from large ones and irregularly sized ones. He's doing nothing.

Help? He is helping! After all, he's telling us what to do!

Am I missing something? I do not see what is so special about this type of solitaire.

Also, he's still being a dick. All of the boxes were brought up. There's little space, and we don't have anywhere to put the bags. He's barking at us, telling us to continue bringing things up, and where to put things, then bitching about where things were put, even though he ordered us to put them like they were in the first place.

Well, it was intended as a type of solitaire you play with a loaded revolver. That's the big part of it.

... incidentally, I rather imagine there's no good scenarios which involve BF's mother's bedbuddy and a gun. Might be best not to suggest.
