This house is plastered to varying thicknesses, which gives it a nice texture, but makes cutting boards to fit in an aperture really slow and painful, since the board has to be lifted up and held against the gap to work out where it sticks. And the board must weigh a solid 20 kilograms, so holding it up is difficult.

Naver is releasing their own translated comics (which to be honest have less than great quality), meaning my scanaltion group's been sent a DMCA takedown notice (though it's an incorrect one), meaning our 'product' (which is provided for free and with arguably greater quality than Naver's) is now technically illegal. Ugh. Freakin greedy companies is why we can't have good things. It's not like they gain any profit from webtoons.com.

The worst part is that I know naver's translations and cleaning, etc are worse in quality but easier to produce, because they have access to the layered Photoshop files the artists used, while scanlation groups have to clean up the final result with all the layers combined.

I'm going to disagree and say that Revelations is probably the best game. The story is not that great, but neither was Brotherhood's story. Revelations has all the mechanics prior to AC3, so bombs, all the gadgets, Den Defense, the hardest Templar Dens to capture....If you care about the story (which you shouldn't) AC2 or AC: Brotherhood. If you care about the game play, Revelations, definitely.

Eh, it was technically illegal before. Scanlation in general is pretty blatant copyright infringement, unfortunately. About the same way a fair amount of old emulation or so-called abandonware is,* but it still is. And companies have some sort of burden to attempt to defend their whatsits, iirc, which is why you get the takedown whatevers. Still more than a little bit of a dick move -- why these people never seem to figure out their first action should be to try to bring the scanlators on board and make their works official, I'll never understand. Free work, free PR, instead of biting the community in the face... -- but...

... that said, you actually work with a scanlation group? Neat.

*Note: M'personally totally okay with most emulation and "abandonware", but that doesn't mean it's not illegal :P

So far, only half of a large order got out. Not that it isn't much, as that is still well over one hundred boxes.

But the client didn't like the way that we packed them, so the entire order is currently on its way back to us so we can empty all of the boxes and re-pack them.

I won't be getting this weekend off.

For the past week, my internet's been going fast then slow then fast then slow, cycling over the course of about 8 hours.

By slow, I mean 'so slow I couldn't even load speedtest.net'

Sounds like your ISP isn't doing anything about server lag in peak hours.
