No surprise. Soda is the nectar of the gods, so it makes sense that you wouldn't be able to stand it.

Spoiler: ALL-CAPS SILLINESS (click to show/hide)

The caps lock key makes me weird.
Anyway. Beer is yummy, soda/soft-drink is mostly kinda gross.

Xan, you should try Irish Cream. That stuff is delicious.

Gods of pain and acid may... be...

.... huh. Vitriolic fire would be a good way of describing it, actually. Soda is the drink of the Malfeas. Which. Okay, I guess that's a sort of god?

Really though reflux is a serious nuisance and anything carbonated is entirely too good at kicking it off, apparently. Fifty-third Palm of Resplendent Sugary Burning?

Which I guess would make Mountain Dew the most glorious of holies, as it is closest in form to the divine Green Sun? Though there is other green colored burning helldrinks out there...

Mountain Dew... Mountain Dew I can make an exception for. That stuff's pretty much awesome.

The gods of acid probably have another nectar of choice than alcohol.  :P

I think I've killed close to 20 spiders in the last week. Haven't seen one in my bedroom yet, and I'm slowly pushing them out of the bathroom. But I found they've setup a new checkpoint by the bottom of the stairs. Trying to cut my supply lines, I expect.

I dun even want to know what the utility room looks like though. basically the only part of the downstairs that wasn't refinished. It's probably where their main base of operation is.

And I'll give it to them, they've got a diversified force. I think I've seen and killed at least 4 different species of them.

When summer hits its peak, if this keeps up, I'm calling an exterminator.

Unless it menaces with spikes of brass or explodes, there's no way Malfeas would have soda as his drink. Think about it: soda can be sickeningly sweet, but it can also burn like acid if you drink it without due reverence, it corrodes your teeth, it slowly destroys your health and you metabolism, it makes you addicted, dependent on itself until you are a disgusting fat blob of quivering flesh, impossible to recognise as the human you once were. That sounds pretty Kimbery to me.

Malfeas would drink whisky, cause it's manly as hell while still giving you an excuse to wear a skirt and whine about how those English/gods are treacherous bastards.

Though I drink this far more than anything else. Maybe a bit too much.

Water is too thin, tea with a tiny bit of milk is my preferred drink/relax-or.

I'd be more afraid of what the spiders are eating. Spiders are predators, remember; they don't eat your food stores or insulation or whatever. Whatever they're hunting though...

But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Yeah, don't be suprised to see a large influx of various critters once you've killed the folks who've kept them in check. But I guess the exterminator should take care of all of them in one fell blow.
