I've had it for over half a year now. It constantly gets infected and I've had it checked out multiple times.

Ingronw nail, perhaps? I have a similar problem, and have to go about once every other month to get my toenails trimmed. Or I end up not being able to put my shoes on.

Very painfully, and I spent time every day squeezing pus out of that sucker =/  It was reaaally gross.  Bright red, sticking out quite a bit from the rest of my thumb... boy, it was nasty.

I think I used to have the same thing, when I was younger.
Though I was quite radical with my nail scissors, so I managed ot get all the pus out instantly and it healed off quickly.
No mercy on those buggers.

I can't even touch it. It's turned a shade of red and all the skin around it is peeling. It hurts a lot more than when I first got it. It has got a thin gash on the side of it, near my toenail. That's where the pus leaks out.

To top it all off, the pus STINKS...

Strangely enough, it smells like my mums breath. She probably has a tooth infection.

And now about half of the enemies in this area of the game can disable my ship for half a miniute with previously-harmless ion cannons. This was the single best shield generator I'd ever found untill now. It cost me 45000 credits. Anger.

Mine was bright red, and very, very hot to the touch... my own localized little fever.  And squeezing it felt like it was being stabbed, honest to goodness, but I did it anyway and it eventually got better.

Both of my big toenails were ingrown for a while, so I had to wear sandals at ALL TIMES. I actually brushed the sole of one over it at one point and... oh god. So much blood. So much.

I mean, sure, it's not something you find use often for, but you most definitely don't want to be without it when the infection hits the fan.
