Just wanted to drop a comment saying thanks for putting this together! If it weren't for this, I would never have gotten into Dwarf Fortress as bad as I have now.

Since this is more of LNP thing, but concerning soundsense:

I had idea to make "automated updates" engine for ss: basically, mod would download all the sound data on background from server and keep itself updated (partial downloads of what was changed/added), keeping inital download small but providing all the sound data.

i agree that it's a good idea, but either we would need that integrated into the LNP for all things (which would be painful to code and coordinate) or the stonesense guys need to do that.
i strongly suggest you go to their thread and suggest that.

Considering Zwei is the OP of SoundSense, I imagine he has that covered. But I'm assuming he's talking about making said upgrade engine himself. Very cool idea.

Makes me think that I'd love to have an automatic update engine for LNP, but would have no idea where to start and probably way more work then I'm willing to put into the project at the moment.

BTW new LNP version incoming with STONESENSE, and updates to Therapist and Phoebus

Hi !

i have tried to download and install the LazyNewbPack. But whenever I try to launch it, I have an error message saying :

"Lazy New Pack.exe - Application Error

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135)."

I don't know what I did wrong. I'd like to have some help !

I'm pretty sure that means you need to install the .NET framework.

Hehe, thank you. I still can't launch the LazyNewbPack, but it changed the error message. I guess that means I have to learn what the heck does a framework do, and how to find a version of the runtime or something. Well, LazyNewb will makes me ActiveVet the hard way I guess !

You need to have .NET framework 3.5 installed, not 4.0 (though it never hurts.. )
