It just happened as I'm seeing it on CNN. I don't think there are any news articles yet because it's just happening. Its on land at least. I don't think they even know if its the oil well itself or something else nearby.

Given the whole oil spill crisis and BP troubles, this is NOT good news for the oil indutry.

Clearly, nature is terrorizing us. Once we get out of the Middle East, we'll begin our assault on Earth herself.

This is great news for the oil industry!
Once we prove how inefficient and dangerous oil is, we can cast down the shackles of their oppressive dictatorship.
And once they are gone, we will finally be able to build an infrastructure around other things, like hydrogen cells.

Edit: What I thought, its natural gas. They're saying something about a well, but dunno. Probably not gonna post more info here until there is an article up for it.

The Qataris are still doing just fine. If anything, this just marks the further loss of America's superpower status, and the rise of China (places like Qatar and Dubai won't be world superpowers because they haven't actually thought past when the oil in the Gulf runs out).

Changed the topic title since its a pipeline, but they have mentioned a well, so I'm not sure.

I don't think BP is involved in this one because there are many oil companies in Texas. Still, its going to have an impact on the whole Oil  issue. Even if it turns out to be some idiot doing something where they weren't suppoused to do it or doing something stupid otherwise.

A gent in the oilfield once told me that everything a man does comes down to putting things in things,  and that the oilfield was just another extreme example of that rape.

Edit: it's off of CR 1120 in Cleburne Texas, and 3 people have died, 10 missing.  Likely not just a pipeline;  sounds like A) drilling mishap or B) someone using a ditchdigger on the pipeline.
