I've waited long enough for Nimitz and smjjames, considering I've been able to get up two turns of my other RTD. It's time to catch up.
Turn 33: Thickening Plot
Try to salvage some weapons from the dead decepticons.
[6][2] What luck! After some searching, you manage to find a dead Decepticon in a back-alleyway. His spark appears to have been ripped from his now lifeless shell, but his weapons are as good as ever. You rip off a set of guns and attempt to meld them with your form. [4] It is a success, and you feel your martial prowess increasing. But... not all is well. You hear a set of scurrying legs, and turn to see a horrible form shambling down the alleyway at you. It is like some sort of mechanical spider, its metallic form concealing a pair of blasters that open fire. [5+2][4][1] Its shots burn through your plating and melt a jumble of wires which luckily are quite redundant. (+1 to Blaster Use!)
Me and my drone will split up, searching for any sign of where all the bodies went.
[1][1] You and your little companion scour what you are sure is the entire city, but no matter where you look the bodies are just...
gone. No reasoning, just mysterious disappearances. A quick confirmation reveals that Starscream and Barricade didn't order anything done with the bodies, so the disappearances are rather suspicious.
Well, this could have gone a little better
Release a pair of turrets and have them hover some fifty meters above me, surveying the battlefield for hostiles. Thank Stinger for the good job on that mega-cannon thing. Meanwhile, try to patch a comms channel through to Barricade or Starscream (preferably Barricade) and ask "So, what happens now?"
[2][6] Your first turret happens to be the Dumb AI-controlled one, and he decides that the beautiful ocean is the perfect place to watch for hostiles. A logical deduction considering Omega Supreme was there, but stupid in the thinking that anything else could have fit in that bay with the colossal Autobot. Your other turret, however, spots something very peculiar and goes for a closer look...
You, meanwhile, thank your Minicon for its assistance. [5] He thanks you for your generosity. It's a start, but you feel it will take a lot more to earn this Minicon's respect. You then call Starscream and ask what's next. Barricade cuts in for him.
"Well, with the coup complete and those Autobot scum running for their lives, I think it's best we slow things down a bit. Unless you feel like salvaging corpses, I suggest you either help set up a new outpost or go find the energon vault. Our scanners suggest there's one hidden underneath the city somewhere."
But just then, your turret feeds back a disturbing image. Your companion SkyFall is, as you're watching, being attacked by what can only be described as a Cybertronian spider. (+1 to Speech, level gained!)
DESTROY IMPORTANT FLESHTHING MONUMENT TO ESTABLISH SUPERIORITY/Practice
[3+3] [4+3] There are a pair of statues in the park between what you can only assume are two of the humans' puny leaders shaking hands in peace. Hmph, peace. You scoff at the thought of it, and destroy the monument to help suppress the thought of the idea. The few citizens still in the city are even more terrified of the Decepticons than they were before. (+1 to Blaster Use)
Attempt to further supercharge my weapon damage.
[6+1] You realize that with some re-purposing of the human-built mechs, you can actually increase your blaster damage by a considerable degree. You put this to the test and find it works better than you could have hoped for. (+1 to Blaster Damage!)
Appear
One of the Decepticons that survived the battle, Airshock, walks up to Barricade and asks for orders. The second in command of the new regime scratches off a bit of rust on his chin and tells him, that is, you, that they need scouts in the air. Apparently Decepticon and Autobot corpses are disappearing without a trace and he wants you to track down the source of the issue and eliminate it.
Appear
Barricade then points to another Decepticon, Oilreap, and tells him that right now he needs bots finding that energon supply. He shall lead the search effort.
Re-establish comunications and recieve orders
By establish communications, do you mean listen to Optimus' orders? Because you already met up with the others a little while ago. At your new base of operations, Optimus informed everyone to report for debriefing. Therefore, you go down to the debriefing room along with the others.
Decepticons:Await orders
On orders, a team of 5 Constructicons, mostly of a digging sort, arrive next to Barricade and Oilreap and give a quick salute to their project leader. They silently await their orders.
Begin construction
With his best men on other tasks, Starscream assembles about 30 Decepticon soldiers and informs that his first mandate as ruler of the Decepticons is to establish a base of operations within the city of Osborn. The soldiers get to work, salvaging raw material from all around the city as they bring it to the Park, the place where Megatron was finally slain. They begin to work the metal into various shapes and piece it together. What the final result will be, no one can be sure.
Autobots:Explain situation.
Once all the Autobots were gathered in what seemed to be a large auditorium, Optimus asked them to take seats. Once everyone was quiet again he began to speak.
"We were dealt a grave defeat at Osborn, Autobots. Megatron is dead, but the Decepticons were not stopped, and now the city of Osborn and its people are at their mercy. However, there is still hope. One of our scouts noticed something during the battle; a small robot attached to one of the Decepticons' heavy-hitters, increasing his power significantly."
"Sure you don't mean what I think you do?" One bot cut in.
"I do, Wasp." Optimus replied. "It seems the Minicons have awakened. If there is one awake, then surely the others are scattered across the planet, ready to be activated. The Decepticons may not know how blessed they are yet, and we must take advantage of this. We will split our forces into teams of five, and send them where they are needed to track down the Minicons before the Decepticons capture any more. Any questions?"
"Yeah, how will we find them?" Bulkhead inquired.
"Minicons give off a unique, and very powerful energy signal. If we can identify that signal and track it down to its source, we'll find the Minicon there. It's a simple process, and one that will not take long. But until the first Minicon locations are reported, take some time to get some much-needed rest. Autobots, dismissed."
