DEFEND THE VILLAGE OF RIENVAR!
A Strategic RP game!

Background:The Village of Rienvar belonged to a nation called the Cel'tars. They were a very peaceful nation. There was still war and all, but they tryed to stay out of them, but that will soon all change. Rienvar has a large, vast history of culture, and trade. It's people are always well fed and the fields are always full of harvest. One day, the old king Orgel, died of a deadly illness. his son, Orgel II took power. Orgel II was a very, dark, evil man who only saw the way of spreading peace in the land with conquest. He soon marked all other Nations and Races as 'useless creatures' He said there god's are all nothing but lies, they try to trick you into becoming there slaves, and many other vulgar statements. A giant war broke loose for the Cel'tars. Most city's have fallen and Orgel II refuses to help small lands. One city was recently targeted, Rienvar. If Rienvar falls, all hope will be lost for the peaceful nation of Cel'tar's. You and your band of army are stationed around the city, waiting for the worst.

Rules, more will be added or removed later on.

There is no limit on how many Other Army's there are, so you better take them!

Alright, I'll take red.

Break formation into three groups:
Sixteen on my right are group A
Sixteen on my left are group B
Two in front of me are my bodyguards.

Move group A in square formation 6 tiles up
Move group B in square formation 3 tiles up
Move myself in the corner formed by the two; bodyguards to the right and behind.

Alright, I'll take red.

Break formation into three groups:
Sixteen on my right are group A
Sixteen on my left are group B
Two in front of me are my bodyguards.

Move group A in square formation 6 tiles up
Move group B in square formation 3 tiles up
Move myself between the two; bodyguards flanking.
K, and those commands are what I expect for most commanders to make, just pointing that out ^_^

1. arrange the second row of my archers behindthe barricades to the left and right of me

2. get the commander to the barricade in front of him and set him directly to the man at right end of the line o inspire the men and show them that im not just standing behind the lines


are the goblins in shooting range?
if yes:
3. light the arrows on fire and shoot an opening salve  aimed at the second row. This should keep the last two rows back and inspire the first row of goblins to run directly in the spears of my comrades...

@Meanmelter: just realized how stupid that comment sounded....sorry :-[

just a little suggestion if you guys are fine with it:

i think whoever gets white should place some of his guys in the spaces between the barricades to guard my archers a bit while the rest of his guys forms a line formation in the middle. Green should go to the left and flank the same way as Frelock. This way we could surround them and break their morale easily. Then they may surrenderand we have some weak meatshields...

Cheddarius shouted to his troops. "All right, men! We'll be facing the goblin army head-on! They may seem dangerous, but their morale is low, and we have many more troops. To war!"
He sent messengers to the other generals, informing them of his plans.
Commander moves up 2 squares. Then the whole army moves up 4 squares.

Ghaz, the distance for a perfect hit is 15 tiles. The goblins are about twice that distance away; if you fire now, almost all your arrows will likely miss.

Meanmelter, how far can the units move in one turn?

I suggest that I charge the goblins head on, while the other two armies flank them and attack from the sides. If possible, we can encircle the army, smash their morale, and crush them quickly.
If the goblins prove too strong, we can retreat to the barriers and form a battle line, with archers thinning the numbers, swordsmen/axemen in front, and spearmen throwing spears or jabbing in the second line.
