Found a long term solution to the 'make_soap' reaction problem.

I've been searching for the last 30 minutes or so, but I can't find any info on that. :'(
can anybody explain to me what the problem was, and how it got fixed?

Found a long term solution to the 'make_soap' reaction problem.

can anybody explain to me what the problem was, and how it got fixed?
Several versions ago, Toady added more soap reactions, and by doing so renamed the one old soap reaction.
Any old world generated before that time still need that old reaction under it's old name; Without the old reaction, old worlds will fail to load.
I've added that reaction to the vanilla reaction_other.txt file, thinking that it allow older games from being able to load the game, and it did work very well.
The problem is that all new world created with that new reaction_other.txt file ended up also needing that old soap reaction even if it didn't use it at all. Very bad.
So I've created a separate file named 'reaction_make_soap.txt' and moved the old soap reaction to that file.
As the reaction is now in a separate non-vanilla file, the file and the reaction won't get deleted later when I will release versions of the graphic pack without that soap reaction.
Old worlds will still carry that vestigal file with the old soap reaction, yet new games won't have that file at all and thus will never become dependent on that old soap reaction, and it will be good.

Top: Current / Hourglass / Star
Bottom: X #1 / X #2 / Circle

Circle / X #2 / Current

they look all awesome

X#2 or Circle (aka bottom middle = bottom right)
but to decide which one of those is better I'd prefer a zoomed version :o

MB, look at the center of the four-way-intersection walls .. thats the difference. ;)

Myself, I think the circles fit best with the rounded wall design (which i've been using on my latest fort ;)).

Many more central wall connectors! (Yay?)

Top: O #1, O #2, O #3, O #4
Middle: X #1, X #2, X #3, O #5
Bottom: Horizontal, Vertical, Mixed, Square

Something to keep in mind, it could be preferable for the connector to blend in (not be noticable) than to be aesthetically pleasing.

See you're going two different directions there, makes it hard for me to choose.

I like O#3, since it really blends in very well.

But I also like the horizontal/vertical ones on the bottom row because they are very discreet and look nice.

I've worked on the favorites from the first batch (X #2 & Circle), both of which are shown in the latest panel as X #1 & O #2.
