Are gods allowed to perform actions that do not consume acts?

For example, using the god's body/shape to perform acts.

I don't think it takes an act to move your arm...

If you're performing an act, of course it does, using your body or not!

If you're talking to someone, or materialize to mix into a community for a little while, then no. Why'd it use up your acts?

What I think he means is, does it take an act to move through the portal from a planet to the library? The portals exist already.

Does it take an act to kill a human if I do so by kicking it?

At what point does an action take an act?

Well, in the decription for Frandor, I wrote:

When Frandor needs to interact with things, it usually does it telepathically

Telepathically changing the layout of the universe would certainly constitute using an act, but turning the pages on a book telepathically would probably not.

I was wondering if there was some kind of scale/order of magnitude up to which things are free and beyond which things cost an act.

If you'd have taken form somewhere, then yes. You could just fight creatures. But your form could be destroyed or beaten back by whatever you fight, if you're not too strong.

And yes, if you'd turn some pages on a book, that's free.

What about if some of my creatures "create" something? Since I created them, and they created, oh, say another race, would that use one of my acts?

From what I've seen I think...

If you tell them to create it, then their actions are up to the game host and you will see the results when the turn ends. No act cost, but you may not get what you ask for.

If you use your power as a god to influence them to create something, you get exactly what you want (assuming you have the acts to burn) and it costs acts.

I don't tell them or influence them to create it, they just do it.

Well we're controlling the god. If you don't tell them or influence them to do it, then why would they do it?

I'm curious about this as well. How far does our control extend? From the first post it seems we only really control the god, but if I make a bunch of free-willed creatures can I still say what they do?

No. You might ask things of them, but eventually they'll do whatever they want. You can temporarily take control of one in your flavory parts as you perform an act, like with the Goat-spirit guy who's name I forgot on Natus.

It's not that hard to pronounce.  :P

I am working on a post (conceptual stage, at the moment), but I'll probably have something up by this evening.

D-d-d-double post to bump for justice.

I've got a post up, though I'm going to withhold by actions for the time being.

Also, I know that technically you meant for Astra'ath to only affect mortals (or at least, non-divinity), but hey, the gods are a race of their own... and they're both gods of chaos, so I figured it might lead to some interesting roleplaying.  :P
