Causing War?

How does one cause civilizations to go to war in adventure mode?

i'd like to get all other civilizations mad at my dwarves, then make a fortress and weather the onslaught.

you can cause civil war quite easily in this version. just get a quest from a guy to kill the demon lawmaker of the town.

I think our friend here means that she (he?) wants them to attack the dwarven civilization the adventurer is part of, not themselves.

Not sure about how to do that, though.

How does one cause civilizations to go to war in adventure mode?

I decided to think for a few seconds, contrary to my normal condition, and I am sorry that I have got to inform you that attacking another civilization will only cause your adventurer to become their enemy. His/her civilization will remain in peace.

you could always start a war in fortress mode and then abandon and see if the two civs are still at war. I dunno if it considers a human army attacking you to be at war with your entire civ or just your fortress.

I'm pretty sure that if you're a mountainhome, it considers that they're at war with the whole civ.

Well, my attempt at world war (predictably) failed.

But it did end with my adventurer being given the name

The name shaftspurts alone is pretty good, but adding the pregnancies makes it awesome. too bad it wasn't something like Catten Shaftspurts the Golden lance of Pregnancies
