"Bay Watcher" text under the name has a different font size, I think.

Bay 12 Games Forum > Finally... > General Discussion (Moderators: Toady One, ThreeToe) > Forum move/upgrade
^^^ That stuff is colored differently.

The announcement text (at the top) has a different font size or something.

Doesn't show avatars next to "Show new replies" etc.

The layout of the Profile page is entirely different, I definitely liked the old version better.

Was the old theme incompatible or something?

Yea, the font size is a bit smaller than before.

Also, you can make the text box bigger! Pretty cool.

Edit: The text inside the posts is the same though, which is good for me, most other text is slightly smaller than before. Using FF here.

Indeed. SMF 2.0 RC2 came out with a new default theme (Curve, which you can choose in your profile if you so desire), and in the process rewrote the old default Core theme to be based off of it, thus requiring many many changes. The Darkling theme is based on the Core theme, so it had to be partially rewritten as well and is thus a little different.

EDIT: by the way, if you don't like the new Profile page layout, you can easily switch back. Click the "<<" at the upper right of the profile box.

Toady, if I made a set of smileys for the forums, would you want them?
Probably bearded smileys.

Or bearded drunk smileys.

Cool, no more timeouts and hangs, at least when the starting hickups have been sorted out.

One thing I noticed is that at least Chrome doesn't show the little brown Bay12 icon before the title in the browser, there's just the default white paper thing.

Yeah, looks like the favicon isn't copied over yet. Easy enough fix.

The new servers are very snappy... that or the normal traffic hasn't come back yet.

Is it just me, or does the name/avatar box take up another inch or so of horizontal space? There seems to be a large column of blank space between it and the post proper, in any case.

The post/preview buttons are also not centered anymore, which is particularly jarring...

Edit: it would also appear the preview button doesn't alert you to new posts anymore, or else I just wasn't paying attention when I posted this...

Edit: everything is loading much faster now, though.

Hmm...  all my top-block board notes are gone.  I guess I'll have to copy them over manually.

Yay, faster server.

"Te frum is so fst Im lsin letrs" :P

Boo, the font. Apparently the font haven't survived the forum move in a good way.

Oh well, it will get fixed. Right?

You can change that through your internet browser.

The font within the posts seems to be the same as before, its pretty much everything else that has a bit smaller font.

You can change that through your internet browser.

You can't change the font of individual bits of a page, just the whole thing at once with browser settings.

Ah, thanks.  The old style is weirdly wide now, but it's still an improvement.

Does the server move mean we get a working search back?  It gives me the error "Unable to access the search daemon" for... oh, now it does that for everything (I guess Sphinx is reindexing or something?).  Previously it just did that for anything vaguely complicated.

The font within the posts seems to be the same as before, its pretty much everything else that has a bit smaller font.

Weird.  For me, most of the other stuff looks bigger.  Post text is the same, quote text is the same, "Reply #28 on: Today" seems bigger, "Bay Watcher" is bigger, "Report to Moderator" and "Logged" are bigger, "Last Edit: Today" is bigger.
