I put forth a motion to rename Tim Denee to Urist McAwesome of Illustration Excellence. All in favor?

After a very small amount of stalking/link clicking I came across http://www.timdenee.com/ which links to his journal that has, among other posts, more DF-related art. Just thought I'd post it in case people were interested. Sorry if there's another thread being used for this now, I might have missed it.

Edit: Oh I poked around some more and realized he's gathered the dwarfy stuff into a Flickr set.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Nifty. Looks like he has a saga in the works.

Just wanted to say that I just now got someone who had never heard of DF outside the context of the TF2 server really pumped about Dwarf Fortress by simply linking him to this story.

So thanks, this really deserves the bump.

Yeah, it does. Especially considering that I hadn't seen it till today. Also, is it just me, or does the forgotten beast look really cute?

I still think that the whole fortress should be flooded with magma the moment you try dividing by zero.
This could be a handy way of teaching preschool children mathematics.

Lazily browsing the forums, I stumbled in here. And how could I leave without letting the creator of this know that, as with many others I'm sure, it was this piece of art that got me into DF. Thank you.  :)

Thanks for the kind words everybody, it means a lot to me.

Oilfurnace, the sequel of sorts, will be available online in about a week! I'm excited...

Also, and not to shill my wares of anything, but you may be interested to know that I've uploaded a few prints of Bronzemurder for sale at RedBubble, and I'll be adding Oilfurnace prints in the coming weeks.

Cheers!
