Simply brilliant. I would love to read an epic or let's play in this style, which carried over the ramshackle, simple yet complex and expressive feel of Dwarf Fortress, both in its programming as a game and in the stories and constructions its players create within it.

Huh?

Anyhow, I'm considering printing off these pictures, laminating them, and binding it up as a book to give my future children.

On the Wall is a Masterfully engraved carving of Urist McHardcastle and Goblins. Urist McHardcastle is surrounded by the Goblins. The Golbins are stamping on Urist McHardcastle. Urist McHardcaste is laughing at the Goblins. The carving related to the prolonged and bloody death of Urist McHardcastle in the Fall of 1659, the Winter of 1659, and the Spring of 1660. On the engraving is an image of Cheese.

That was terribly awesome. This could turn out to be the best tool to raise DF awareness.  ;D

Heh, i like how those three dwarves in the bedroom wing look like Left4Dead characters.

Everyone's been using up the good words to describe just how amazing this was to see and read. As art and as a story it's just wonderfully done. Thank you for doing it and sharing it!

Damnit I sound like a cheerleader! Curse you timdenee!

This was entertaining and well-rendered.

Not to be the only naysayer here, but I believe this was posted on at least two other forums before today (see example) and has been on at least two other subforums on this site.

I'm certainly not saying it's not very well done, or entertaining, just that I hope the right guy is getting the credit.

Yeah, I certainly hope that timdenee isn't trying to steal iTim's work.

The guy who made these graphics hangs out on RPGNet, where I also hang out.  He posted the Bronzemurder Saga there at 8:38pm Eastern US Time, Monday night, 4/19.  His handle on RPGNet is iTim.

He also plays Team Fortress 2, and lives in New Zealand.  So in an effort to get his TF2 clan members interested in DF, he also posted the Bronzemurder Saga on his TF2 Clan webforum.  This would be the nzfortress.co.nz URL you may have seen.  He posts there as Nomad.

I actually think he posted the Saga to his TF2 forum first and then posted it to RPGNet.  But his TF2 forum reports posts in NZ local time, and I can't be arsed to figure out which one came first.

About 4 hours after he posted the Saga to RPGNet, he started this very thread here on the DF forums.

A few folks (one of whom was me), not knowing that he had posted here, also posted the Saga itself, or links to the Saga, in DF Stories and DF General Discussion.

Hope this clears things up.

P.S. Bronzemurder is ALIVE!
