Fact, I thought every Monster hunter game had only one elder dragon as an end boss, and that was just an "end boss" classification. Apparently this isn't true?

It's actually a species classification where basically anything that doesn't fit into the other categories gets shuffled into, along with the True Elder Dragons that have the classic dragon bodytype and elemental powers. There use to be a whole lot more of them back in 1 and 2.

I see, so that explains the horse thing and the flying spherical thing with, if I remember the wiki description correctly, exploding bees in it.

Pellet is always inferior to something else.

Yeah, I guess Cluster is probably better at knocking your allies around. I'll try that instead.

Actually, blast bows are the best to knock allies around. Plus it's infinite.

What do you all think about rapid fire bowguns in ultimate? Excluding some bullets with special functionality it seems difficult to say if they're an upgrade or a downgrade. I know they save ammo, but it's hard to say if it's worth it as opinions on DPS are all over the place with the slow speed.

Underwater in general is awful.

This is true. Though I've found that the claw-hand works reasonably will with the 3DS.

Just came here to say that actually, wahahaha.

Fighting the lagiacrus underwater in the flooded forest is just a horrible mess of a thing, any area that he's underwater he takes up most of the lane and he's constantly electrocuted so you get thunderblight and ahrgh agrhhrg hurggh

The CPP was worth the money just for how much easier the underwater camera is with it.

I may have to invest in that.

Also, how does one go about being effective with the bowgun? I just can't seem to aim at anything even remotely mobile.

Use the quick-aim thing that overlays a crosshair onto where you're pointing, I think. It's very sensitive, though, since it basically just shows you where you're pointing while you walk around.
