(Newton is turning in his grave at the moment)

Um... why?

The same force applied the metal would also go through the skeleton... (Unless I missed something, which is likely given my lack of sleep)

Most of the force will be in the momentum of the metal blocks, which will be acting as hammers.

Considering that their strongest limb is the feet, this is something that makes sense for them to do.

Ah, for some reason my brain's image-processor failed to recognise that thick metal blocks have substantial mass. Obviously it needs more caffeine...

I found this again. While Overgrowth was still... well, uhh... Lugaru 2, a member of the Wolfire forums made a few comics, then disappeared off the face of the earth.

http://legacy.wolfire.com/new/vibrib.php

This does remind me that I need to catch up on the official overgrowth comic Aubrey made...

Can I just say that the animation here is beautiful.

The fluidity of the weapon stance switches, wheeling away from attacks, and delivering ripostes... it looks like a choreographed fight scene. Brilliant!

It also has left-handed rabbits! Yay! (though I didn't see how exactly you determine handedness)

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Might be as simple as a game option, or something you pick at the start of a new game.
Also: that last scene with bloody Turner standing over his slain opponent was quite epic.

New video!
  • Supposedly a working Linux version.
  • Work on texture and sound loading to avoid hiccups during gameplay.

...that's about it, really. Still, Linux users should be happy.

You get it for free if you've pre-ordered Overgrowth.

EDIT: Oh cool. I kinda wish there was more than one gun though =p even if it was all pistols.

Receiver is immensely hard but I kind of love it. The aesthetics, the roguelike design, the complex pistol mechanics, and the enemy damage modelling all feel pretty nice.

Yes they did extremely well to make that in 7 days! Really addictive.

I really like the technical aspects of his Overgrowth project, but at the same time I feel there is no actual game under there. If only he could apply his skills to something more appealing than boxing rabbits* :/

*Personal opinion of course, good for you if that's your thing.
