The thing that made the Court if I recall correctly, mentioned somewhere by someone, that the Court wasn't built but grown from the seed bismuth.

Or it could be Coyote trying not to let her take the Seed back across. Then again, she's kind of playing for Coyote's team, being all basically hired and stuff.
