Yea, given the number of messages and the distance, theres a chance he would accidentially hit something or someone on the forest side. Its only a matter of time before someone on either side notices and investigates whats going on or blabs about it.

Furthermore, I'm beginning to think it was not Jeanne who was the intended target for Archer/Steadman's arrow.
(And also, that crow/dark bird talking to Steadman a couple of pages ago? I'm guessing that's Tik Tok Guy, "Spirit" of the Court, poisoning Archer's mind against the Forest, what with Steadman's newly unveiled contempt of the Forest and/or inter-schism relations.

Yeah, I'm starting to think that she wasn't the target either. However, she was down there for three hours before the shot was fired, so there's something significant about that.

So then.. She's still down there because she refuses to leave her beloved's side, maybe? I looked a little, but I couldn't find the part where Owl-Face talks about why they (the reapers) wanted Annie down there in the first place. Wasn't it something about them not being able to "reach" Jeanne or something?

Her spirit has been down there for too long, or something. Or maybe she fell outside of the reapers jurisdiction, and they can't figure out who the right person is now that it has been so long. I don't even know.
