Jones can be seen as an inter-court medium actually... while Surma and the 3 kids are mediums between the forest and the court.

Now waist-deep in the political muck of the court and just about everything it entails.  Most likely commanding an elaborate network of informers, most who are not aware of the identities of each other except for 1 or 2 'spymasters.'  She is probably also acquainted with or at least aware of much of the fringe population and the visitors, be they human, creature or something else.

I havn't read anything else but the comic actually...  Nor do I even know Jones' first name...

Eh, I still stand by my theory... the supplement's content is essentially the same anyways.
