Huh. I'm interested in finding out what exactly the "mark" means to the spirits. (This is in response to Hetty taking offense at Reynard showing off his mark on his forehead in his larger form.) I just thought it was a part of them, there hasn't really been any specific mention of the marks before, has there?

Also, fun fact on alchemy.  Mercury is not only considered to be the first metal from which all other metals can be made, but those different metals (i.e. gold) could be produced by altering the amount of sulfur contained within the mercury.  Given that Hettie's symbol appears to be sulfur, that's most likely not a coincidence, especially given that both seem to be tricksters, but Hettie's far more rebellious and ill-considering of her imprisonment than our favourite fox.

With every...single...page, Hetty becomes more and more hate-able. I don't know how she does it. Just when you think she's super terrible, she reveals something else about herself. I'm hoping she leaves the series being melted into a giant vat of doll-goo.

It's one thing to resent imprisonment and look for a way out, but it's a whole different level of monster to do so against someone who doesn't even know you're their thrall.
