I, in my traditional way, took a bath after a bloody elven genocide. I sat there in the water for some time, relaxing after over 100 elven kills. Then, suddenly, ALL of the fat on my body began to melt, there was heavy bleeding all over me, and I died of blood loss.
All of my adventurers are unstoppable, due to the combat unbalancing. Yet they all die in very odd and suspicious ways.
#1: encased in Ice while swimming the oceans to new lands
#2: Knocked unconscious by a 3 Z-level drop, in a cave, surrounded by trogs, and cave crocs.
#3: spontaneously melted in a murky pool

Toady hates me. 

Edit: only injuries when I melted were a broken nose, and mild burns from lighting up a forest retreat.

The HELP! HELP! WATER"S MELTING OFF MY FLESH!!! bug is well known, but no one knows exactly why it occours. Also, Toady doesn't hate you, it's the RNG that does.

It seems that the Great Magma Sea increases the overall tempature of the world, making most areas scorching, and a byproduct of this is that your rain becomes like molecular acid. Odd that it dosen't evaporate. Acid rain dosen't seem to be an intended effect, as even real acid rain is almost harmless to people.

it could be just really really hot water but yeah after reading that I flip when I see blood on the floor only to see it's the blood of the enemies.

The "acid rain" is a joke.  It's just boiling hot rain. It has nothing to do with acid.
