Believe it or not, after hitting about 25-30 veins of the stuff (and compulsively mining them all out), you start to get sick of the stuff. I have literally had to mod gold for use in every kind of metal object available, including clothes, just to get rid of the damn stuff. Anyone else have this problem?

There's way more useful underground stuff than in 40d, not only gold but everything, including gems. 25-30 Veins should be what, a few thousand? Just make blocks/bars and build a tower or something.
Or make a carpton of statues, melting down everything below masterwork quality and keeping only the very best to line every road and hallway.

I think of dwarves as the ones described by Terry Pratchett. The ones who have at least 1000 songs about gold, every single one with the lyrics "gold gold gold gold"... there is no such thing as too much gold

There are the regular raws in /raw/objects but they're also saved with each region. If you want to change anything withouth generating a new region, you'll have to edit the ones in /data/save/region<x>/raw/objects.
