I opened up a cavern that was only 10z down,when I get a message that I opened a tunnel deep into the ground, which was a spiral stairway leading down into darkness.. 3 seasons later nothings happened. Is it simply a passage and not a HFS or seige entrance?

I'm tunneling straight down and sending out exploratory mine shafts in 4 directions at once. So far I have found NOTHING! -_- I am greatly disappointed. I think I'm probably just accidently missing stuff... ah well.

I found a legendary thingummywhat named "Ob". It ate my engraver, and my miner managed to break its foot before he got turned into a mural. Luckily I was able to seal him off from the rest of the fortress while he was busy splattering those two.
