Though the Xanatos Gambit just got sunk in a naval battle with spain, I believe, but we captured like two second rates in the battle we can use as replacements.

all according to plan.

Can you rename one of the captured ships to "Xanatos Gambit"?

Today we march.


Not for glory or honour, no.


No, today we march for something more..


We scale these walls today, to fight our own brethren, not for ourselves, not to expand the empire.


No, this is for all of us who call themselves German, today we fight for the right to decide our own fate.


We charge the lines of our brethren to name our Reichspräsident.


We charge because we are tired of the Habsburgs leading us around like we're his slaves.


Today even our General charges with us into battle, his sword becoming as red as our bayonets.


But today, our flag, our new flag flys above this fort and our new Republik Österreich begins!

The Spanish fleet had been enjoying its Dominance on the Seas, raiding trade and general chaos, Heyreddin ordered full sails, unfortunately sailing in to unfavorable winds, but still forcing them to sail into his hands.




The fleets skirmished for awhile before both lines were broken, forcing them into a General chase, and the whole battle devolved into chaos, the Spanish trying to keep their ships together, while the Austrian fleet surrounded them.




However a push by the Augustus changed the field as the ship charged through the Spanish gathering, cannon fire ripping from both sides of the 2nd Rate.



Spanish ships became a rapidly diminishing resource.




The surrender of the Mino marked the end of the battle as the field became a clean up.


The battle ended remarkably well for the Austrian's with few casualties, and the small Bomb Ketches employed by Barbarossa, that were kept in reserve served whell, explosive mortar shells ripping into the heavy ships of the Spanish.  However the battle was not without its losses, the Xanatos Gambit was sunk, A six rate immediately moving into position to collect survivors.



This naval battle marked the end of the war with Spain, having lost all their provinces around Italia and Tunis, and their naval superiority destroyed, and not being able to claim the throne of Austria anymore, they accepted peace.
