I was going for big players. You've been here for... ever, but you didn't lead to the entire creation of a subforum.

I mean, technically, Shades and Solifuge are old players. Look at them now. :P

You mean the fact I joined in on some of the first games but haven't been around since then?
Yeah. Remember that Ninja Mafia game? That was terrible.
So is your name Thomas?

That is good.

Do people treat you badly IRL?

I have a hard time getting along with people.  There is someone in particular that I just can't get away from.  As such, I am going to allocate more efforts into getting away from that person via academic study.

You seem nice enough to me. I recommend learning how to fight. It's a very liberating experience for just the kind of problem you have. Trust me.

Who picks on girls? That's low. Except for other girls, but the girls that pick on other girls are usually sluts and whores, typically of the rich variety.

Oh, it's just something an asshole did in the dorms last year.  For some reason, he decided he could dump whatever he wanted in the girls' bathroom sink.  Then the moron got it clogged with spaghetti.  My roommate brought it to his attention, and he told her to put up a sign that said I'd thrown up so the (extremely ballistic) cleaning lady could make me clean it up.  This is a woman who has been known to shout people awake at 6 in the morning if something is out of place.

Fortunately, I happened to be standing behind the bastard at the time as he talked to my roommate, so she said she wouldn't do it.

Last year? But last year isn't this year. Your logic doesn't add up.

Yes, they leave me alone now.  This probably has a lot to do with the fact that I rarely go outside or talk to people (outside of the math department, which is rather more understanding).

I know how to fight.  When the problem is that everyone around you likes to yell at you, pick on you, and tell you how terribly unreasonable/odd/crazy you are ("everyone I interact with" is a very small set, you see), you just can't fight anymore after a point.  I'm sick of getting mooched off of, dumped on, and told how bizarre and unlike other people I am.

So, do I need to learn how to fight if my mother is beleaguering me and telling me I'm powerless/that I shouldn't follow my dreams/whatever?  Not really.  I need to go study hard so I can live where I want, far away from her.

I would highly recommend finding a good dojo for Ju Jitsu, Aikido, or a similar art - not only for the physical defense aspect, but also for the mental aspect. Budō has been one of the strongest positive influences in my life.

Did kendo.  As I said, I had a habit of going berserk.

A follow your dreams thing, eh?

Well, good luck to ya. You'll be back though. They always come back. Plus, you'll figure out enough parallels between your life and the stream that it the world, varying as it is, to learn that you are a part of the we, no matter what or where you are.

See ya.
