You feel your tongue. It feels so stretchy, like you could pull and pull and it would never end. You pull on your tongue while you follow the grounp West, breathing the smoke from the incense.

You see some more sleeping snakes on the ground, and the others all fall silent and start tiptoeing along. You don't get far before one of them steps on a snake, and it lashes out and strikes him in the chest. He stands there for a moment, looking around in a panic, and the snake withdraws back to the ground and falls asleep again. The guy collapses, bleeding heavily.

The other three completely freak out, and run East past you.

Heave the man on your back and follow the group.
Carry the man like this.

You try to pick him up and carry him. You get as far as the next intersection, where you can see a ramp to the north. The others continue to flee to the east.

Your head clears, a combination of the danger and the fresh air, and your ankle gives out. Your burned right hand is in agony. You fall to your knee and drop the guy rather than collapse under him.

And you realize he's bleeding from the front and back of his chest. You look behind you. No snakes.

You can't see his eyes under the camel-mask, but he's not breathing.

He's dead, Ricky.

Drag him with your good hand, limping.
Continue to follow.

At least give him a good burial/whatever.

Also Torch in mouth.

You grab his arm with your left and and drag. You arrive at the next intersection to the East. The hall continues to the East again and also leads South through a section of broken, partially-collapsed hallway.

The last of the other people are clambering among the fallen blocks and rubble leading south. You hear a commotion from that direction - some shouting.

Keep going man!
Except cautiously.

You drag him south across and under the rubble. The stuff clears out and you peek out from under a huge slab that's resting at an angle against the wall.

You see a stairway going down to the south. Before that is a floor basin and fountain in the wall. The water from the fountain has formed into a weird monster.



It turns away from the stairs down and points at you. It adjusts for every move you make. It looks like it can stretch across the entire passage.

What does this mean

I think it means use the body as a weapon? 

[Phantom]

I mean this.

[Huesoo]

Take off the guys clothes then torso flail him. We need the warmth.

[Phantom]

We don't have time.

And we have several layers of clothing.

You toss the body close enough that the water monster can grab it and not you. The monster peers over the corpse, as if sniffing it, and keeps looking at you. The opportunity for getting past hasn't really improved. You could still try to run past anyway.
