Info is on the first post, if you want in the tournament system state one or two colors and I'll whip up a starter deck for you.

Hmmmmm.... Red, Green, Blue, White, and Black...

I have played Magic on and off in real life, never actually buying my own deck, always short or long term borrowing my decks from friends. I know how to play somewhat well, though I constantly ask what certain abilities do and such, and I actually don't know how the turn order works. Basically a working knowledge. With the links to the rulebooks in the first post you provided though, I should be good  ;)

My first deck was R/G. It sucked to high heaven. I still loved playing regardless of my always losing though. Second deck was pure red, and could actually hold its own, though it wasn't really my style. Recently I was borrowing a snake deck a bunch (green) and had fun with it (mold adder is especially fun when you play against a black deck and two blue decks at the same time)

However, the deck I had the most fun with was a blue mermaid deck I put together at my best friends house for a MTG birthday party he held. I destroyed all contenders.

So, Blue it is  ;D

Hmm I wonder if the Gatherer woes stemmed from the new block...

If it still isn;t working you could try posting a sea of numbers from random.org or something, then the community could pour over them matching names to collection numbers. So long as nobody knows what order the numbers are in nobody would know which cards went to which people, but they would know which cards were out there...

I really don't think that would work... But no matter, I can use it now.

When I grabbed Apprentice, I immediately noticed that you could change the background. I was all happy for a minute, until I found out that it only accepted sucky .gif's  :( Paint really sucks at converting to .gifs, everything I converted looked horrible.

So I loaded up Photoshop, delved into my "cool space pictures" folder, cropped and converted a couple pictures. With photoshop, they came out looking pretty good.

Make sure to check the "tiled" checkbox, or Apprentice will stretch the images (ugh).

First two are good for someone running Apprentice fullscreened at about a 1280x1024 resolution, third one for a 1024x768 person.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I have the full size, un .gif'ified images if anyone wants. Feel free to download and use these yourselves! I can also convert some more from my collection if you guys would like.

Wow, those look great, I can't help but think that it isn't the first setting people would think of, not that the odd goblin doesn't make it into orbit...

Hmm, tried using some of my fractals, but apparently using backgrounds as large as your desktop doesn't realy look well

So I played Nirur Torir twice. Lost twice (lol). I had him down to 5hp in the first game, but he turned it around on my butt.
That puts me at 0-2.

Nirur Torir has some nice cards man. Nice cards...

Crop and resize them. If its stretching them down to fit though, simply check the box to have it tile the background, and it will stop stretching it.

I just lost to Virex (putting me at 0-3 :P).

He was not able to draw creatures for the longest time. I had plenty but he killed each one.

I had him down to hp you can count on one hand, but he turned the game around and got creatures, and slowly wore me down, barely escaping me delivering that last fatal blow several times, and killed me.

47 turns. Wow.

That was awesome!

I have altered the random deck booster to ensure at least 5 non-basic lands. This should make it more attractive as non-basic lands are a little hard to get your hands on.
