Can I say this at the beginning of Day 1? Nope, I can't, outside of generalized phrases -

My best friend is the active player.
My worst friend is the player who kills me.

ToonyMan, what is SUMM? I really don't know.

Scum that don't know their place.  Last thing we want is some SUMM asking who his scum partner is.  That'd make it too easy.

JanusTwoFace, as the eight player in our little scenario, it seems suspicious that you show up out of the blue just before we get kidnapped. Odd, that! Last to show, last to post... its almost as if you don't live on this board 24/7 like some of us! As if you were an outsider...

Whenever I'm at my computer, I'll usually be pretty quick to respond.  Unfortunately, I'm a bit busy right now, thus only one mafia at a time.  I'll do my best to stay relatively active.

On that note, I'm not familiar with how all of the roles are going to work (especially in such a setup as this).  Could someone clarify these please?

- Jester only wins if lynched?
- Mafia ally wins if mafia wins?
- How does mafia win?
- When does townie win with 3 seperate mafia-types (mafia / sk / cult)?
- Does SK have to be last one standing?
- Do people the Cultist converts win with the Cult Leader?

The way any non town killer wins is by being in the final two with the other player not being a killer. The way the cult wins is by having all killers in the cult or dead and having a majority of the alive players in the cult.

- that I do not recall reading in any ruleset. Usually the Mafia wins by matching the number of or outnumbering the non-scum people, and the SK wins by being the last man standing (which amounts to the same thing in the end), but where do you know the "the other guy shall not be a killer" tidbit from? Because it was in your Role PM, perhaps?

Or perhaps because it's common sense.

See, if the other role is a killer, then you have two killers who will try to kill each other during nightphase. This does no one any good, and indeed most likely both will end up dead.

That's part of the standard way the rules work, Errol.

It's only in rare cases like my uPick where the game must make an exception (namely, winning when it is impossible to lose because the Bastard Mod role's powers messed with a lot of stuff).

Also, does town win if scum dies, thus ending game? Or do they need to kill all third parties? Normally - I understand the specifics here might be different.

And the only one who needs the Survivor dead to win is the serial killer? He can get a combo victory with everyone else, right?

Mafia ally... as far as we know, his win condition involves scum to be alive, but he has no idea who the scum actually is.

You are basically correct with the survivor part but you have to consider the possibility that the lyncher might need to off him...

It says RIGHT in the OP that the lyncher needs to lynch the townie to win.

The sk doesn't need the survivor dead.

The townie only wins if the cult, sk, and mafia are all dead (not sure if here has to be alive).

Whoops, that was a misread from my side... I recall reading something about lyncher and townie and the lyncher becoming the townie if the townie dies...

I'd hazard the guess that at least one member of town needs to be alive. It would be a bit stupid if the townie wins posthumously out of the blue. So if the townie gets NKed and the lyncher becomes the townie, and the lyncher gets the town win condition, the dead townie wins too.
