My parents would let me have a taste if I asked, but I can't really appreciate wine yet, sadly

Still worth a try if you haven't tasted the line before; wines vary to an exceptional degree, so if you're judging off a single time it might not hold.

And, of course, if you have a sip and can't stand it, you've had an experience and confirmed your belief.

And yeah, I know that you need to get used to the taste of alcohol (and what makes you assume I'm not? Drinking age in Belgium is 16 and I'm less than a month away from that...)

To my casual knowledge liquor is distilled, but things like beers are not, hence they are not liquor.

The law in Belgium is that you can drink beers and other fermented beverage at 16, but that you need to be 18 for distilled stuff over 20°. I'm not 100% sure where stuff like alcopops stand anymore. I'm not sure because frankly, no one gives a shit about the law and every respectful 15-years-old would get its bottle of vodka.
