Actually Siberia is beyond bad due to freezing temperatures and the most important thing, boredom. Well I hear there's a few prisons there from Stalin's time. Maybe you could overhaul them and put some people in for amusement.

As for pictures, looks like an accomplice to me, the way it's made.

Actually, Siberia is 13 000 000 km. of land with climates varying from tundra to sharply continental to tropical monsoon, and inhabited by a diverse array of people. There are places in Siberia where it's easily +35 C in the summer. You're a distant relative of Jon Snow's, I presume?

Indeed, that is my argument also. However, a response I thought of was "You can strip but naked and swim in freezing water when it gets too warm"

But that's much harder to do while you try to sleep

-5C is freeeezing. Even with heavy jackets and not really any exposed flesh, it still feels too cold for words. I shiver to think what -30C would be like.
30C is bearable. It's when it starts hitting the 40s that it becomes nasty.

No matter how many layers I put on, I still get cold when I try to sleep in Winter.
And if you need to go out in cold weather, you're screwed. It's either freeze or wear a scarf and gloves, and I place far too much value on my dignity to wear either. Ugh. I can sleep comfortably at 30c. 40c is a bit iffy, but doable.
I certainly miss the 40 degree week of summer right now.

Usually I just end sleeping through the day (I don't mind the heat too much in bed) and be awake during the night if that happens.

I do almost the same. 30 or above means I take a siesta during the hottest hours, if I can. I read somewhere that an outdoor temperature of 17°C (iirc) is optimal for physical performance for humans, though I'm most comfortable in the 10-15 range. Used to work in a warehouse fridge and loved it.

Several summers ago it hit the high forties where I live. It was too hot to go outside for long, yet so hot inside the xbox wouldn't bloody work. A few days later It was swimming day at school, everyone was pumped to get in the water. The teachers cancelled on the grounds that it was 'too hot'. I have never seen children so angry, like, there was mutiny in the air. To be fair though, it was a long walk to the pool, and when we put the thermometer out in the sun, it got well over fifty then broke. :/

Right now in Saint-Petersburgh, it is hot. Really hot. Really friggen hot. Like, 40 degrees Celsius hot. Going outside is pretty much a corporal punishment.
