anyway the joke is that python is too damn similar to plain english and it messes me up to write because it demands specifix syntax in a somewhat natural-speaking way so i end up forgetting how I'm supposed to "say" this line when dammit I'm programming not writing an essay

this joke explanation is going to be even worse when I wake up than the joke, but oh well, at least I'll understand

My house gets brown recluses something fierce!

I am gonna leave the giant wolfspider alone, and let it eat the horrible necrotic lesion inducing ones. Wolfspiders are fiercely territorial, and active hunters. Wolfspiders are mostly harmless to humans if you just leave them alone.

I just didn't expect to see one quite that large, and certainly not camped out in my bathroom.

we get wolfspiders here too
the biggest one i've ever saw was on a tree and it was almost tarantula size.

the wolfspiders i normally see are no bigger then a loonie.

edit: do you live in harmony with the bugs in your house or do you try to get rid of them?

Unless it is actively destructive to the house, or its inhabitants, I tend to leave bugs alone.

My cats on the other hand, think that bugs are tasty.

This combination makes me reluctant to spray chemicals that linger, and my harm my kitties when they eat poisoned bugs.

My house has an earthen crawlspace underneath it, which is where all the brown recluses come in through.  Allowing the wolfspider to stick around presents a natural solution to the problem. I just need to be careful putting shoes on, and digging through closets, which I already am, due to the brown recluses.

A big spider like that will make a big dent in the toxic spider population, so I am kinda happy to see it.

my cats keep the houseflys at bay which are the only bugs i hate.


i have only seen one brown recluse in my life and it was hiding in my shoe.

do you get black widows there?
i get them here but they are extremely uncommon.
and ive seen two of those bastards before. they were hiding under my makeshift deck thingy.

I don't have a problem with widows, just recluses.

They make seasonal influxes during the spring rains, and during the fall, and try to camp out in closets, under the stairs, in the bathtub, and other places.

I am not a fan of the necrotic lesion inducing bastards.  I am much happier with the giant wolfspider, and I hope it makes babies that take over the crawlspace. That should help with the seasonal spider invasions quite nicely, and will also cut down on beetles and the like.
