What you do here is determine a creature for an entity and enable it in "Play Now!", and you don't do anything else. Why shouldn't it work then? :)

And yes, any entity changes require a new world.

I kind-of like dragon caves and stuff. It's a remarkable sight. Usually, when I start off as a dragon and fly out from the cave, all of the human settlements around the area are completely deserted with burnt down houses.

I thought walls can't catch on fire.Or is it in ruins?

This thread is from 40d. That was the version before the current version before the current version before the current version. The ability to manually breathe dragonfire was added in 0.34.01. Dragons cannot fly in Dwarf Fortress.

Posting all of this for the future people-who-search-and-find-this-thread-somehow-when-they-want-help.

they CAN fly

Except that that's wrong and literally everything you'll find online, in the raws or in-game will tell you that that's wrong and not all dragons in fiction fly and the ones in Dwarf Fortress are no exception to the ones that don't.
