Adventure Mode: Storing my stuff?
« on: January 19, 2010, 03:13:28 pm »

So, how can I go about storying my things? Say somebody dies, I then "move" into their home. If I leave something on the floor, will it dissapear after X days?
Same goes for corpses (trophies!) aswell as items.

depends on how heavy the item is and if its in a container...

if the item isnt heavy it will teleport around to some palce in the village.
Or in some villages the asshole preists come and take the items and put them at the top of the temple.

The container should be naturally heavy so it wont teleport and then can have items stored in it safetly...

Do it for science!

Does making a lockable shed in fortress mode work to stop the teleporting stuff?  (lockable as in lever-operated door)

Locking the doors won't help.  Stockpiles tend to stay in teh same spot because of lots of things in bins.  Just make all yoru bins out of worthless, yet heavy metals and you'll be fine.  Gotta use that lead somehow.

You need to make said elf leather into the most amazing work of art.  Embed it with every kind of gem you have, stud it with metals, and sew images into it.  Erect a shrine outside your fort with that in the center.  Let the elves know that you view their very skin as naught more but a medium for your dwarves to work on.
