Getting a pic of a 3D thing like a cube of magma requires several pictures and is a lot of work.

But im good with one picture. But they arent required. I was going to ask for them in the report they give weekly but the sooner the better

Also for the statues, import the materials, dig deeper

Use visual fortress, or 3Dwarf.

Also, on the note that so far pics don't seem to be needed, I'm going to lie and claim I've done everything.

I've done everything.  It's all beautiful.

Dont worry when the game actually starts there will be pictures required....Un fortunatly I forgot to set a time of starting so everyone joined and started making demands. I'm gonna wait until 5 people are willing to participate then restart with better rules.

Lol i guess that 30 statues thing is taking some time.

And Salabasama, if you don't have anything to do right now, Make a 20x30 room that will be your dining room.

arghh! that statue challenge is making me mad!

first : my dwarfs won't resist taking all that gabbro and using it as statues instead of mircoline , talc , gold , platinum , and all that

second : when i request different kinds of stones , the merchants stupidly load the entire caravan with one single type , then heading for my direction , they turn the entire depot with screen colours

third :where ever i dig , there is always gabbro , i think i just atom smash them

DAH.

I'm in.

My site:
4x4, temperate woodland, moderate vegetation, calm.
Magma pipe, sand, flux.
Half the site has an aquifer biome, half the site has non-aquifer.
Chance of bauxite.

DOnt worry Ze Spy you have until wednsday. (hint, make a stockpile in a room with a mason shop then lock the dwarf in there with food and a bed and the items you want him to make stuff out of)

Ok jfs, you need to put down a difficulty you want, so i'll just assume you want a difficulty of 1.....build 15 beds.

with carefull mirco-management , i managed to get the god damned mason to make 10 statues of different meterials

however , the merchants are still being stupid and loading up redicuious amounts of stones in one single caravan , can i offer them 24Million dwarfbucks worth of items to get more caravans?

Allright, I was under the impression the actual game wasn't starting until later, buuut, here we go.

I still haven't started a real fortress, only made a temporary settlement for my dwarves to rest and surveyed the site's geology a bit.

Requesting a level 3 task.

use said beds to make 7 living rooms for your seven dwarfs , then smooth and engrave them(seven dig designation , seven bed placing , 14 smooth and engrave designation) , fits for a 3 difficuty job

I'll get on it.  I'm using the ridiculous cliff/ocean/magma pipe map that someone had posted in the Worldgen Extremes thread, where the ocean's incredibly deep and the cliff is incredibly tall.  I might could expand my temporary dining hall to fill the demand.  It is also the crypt.  The tables surround a few pitchblende coffins, since I figured radioactive boxes of dead bodies right next to your dinner would be more satisfying than just boxes of dead bodies.  If only it were possible to also get the dwarves to use the coffins as tables!

7 fully engraved bedrooms, in fact double room, in case any of the original seven decide to make family, completed.

It has become winter. The dwarven caravan had to pass without making any trade, we were too busy making home to create any trade goods. While carving workshop area, we found a small vein of copper. We have also breached the top of the magma pipe. The only larger wildlife on the site are the fire imps residing in the magma. The reported aquifer seems very sparse, but we have confirmed it to exist. A kobold thief earlier made off with the single gemstone we had dug out, a raw picture jasper.
No immigrants have arrived yet, but the seven expect to be able to handle a level 4 request.

Update: 23 immigrants arrived in the spring, one of them a child.

Ok, level 4

Make a moat with a bridge and a small room/tower with fortifications to let your archers shoot enemies down. IT MUST BE YOUR ONLY ENTRANCE! Seal all others off.

Must the moat be filled with anything?
