Very new to this :3

Anyway, as for the battle...

I send out my fighters, 3 group - one for each enemy ship...
Those guys are the reason I asked how to gimp the enemy. I used SM to give myself a few extra tech and they just magically catch  up on everything - very annoying.

Missles incoming, just a endless stream of these things... urgs...

Split my escort off and having them charge towards the enemy, hopeing to get into range for the 50 cm railguns....

They just don't stop coming!!!

For a ship that is made to be short ranged, id also throw more armor on it, 2 layers of armor might be a bit light... but you do have fairly advanced tech.

I really doubt youll lose the battle unless its precursors or something.

also your fire control for I assume your mid range Point Defense Gauss cannons outranges the Gauss Cannons by 50,000 km. unless your planning to future proof then no big deal.

I expect your meson cannon carrying fighters will be very great :)

Shield went down near instantly, armor took most of the damage though and we lost engeneering spaces...

One missle got shot down, too... moving on in 5 sec steps now... this will be a painfull sucking up off missles before I get anywhere close enough to return fire...





-Next salve got blocked by the onboard defence...


Oh fyi: New to the game and english ain't my first language, also no good with military terms... so very clueless half off the time, but I still love it.

so if your really lucky it will take 4 hits from those missiles to completely rip all the armor from your close range.. heavily armed ships AKA Schmetterling. Thats not taking into account that every hit onto your armor is 1 hit closer to breaking through and hitting inner components.

each missile from enemy is doing 11 dmg. at size 5, so not very advanced, but they are like 2 points in engines to get 50,000 speed maybe.

Cant wait to see the rest of this battle in screenshots!!! :)

Jeez... yeah, back to the drawing board after this... but learning the hard way is fun, too...

Next missles strike, as you said, armor gives in, shields didn't recharge nearly enough to do anything..

Assigned my damage control to fix the ciws

Where is the .txt file from the event log saved? I can just copy paste that then, and save you people the .img load time (and myself the upload)
(Oh and 2 internal armoring seems to be worth it on the drive)

wait where is this gun

Gauss Cannon R3-100 (1x3)    Range 30,000km     TS: 10000 km/s     Accuracy Modifier 100%

this should be firing at missiles as well....

if you get those fighters out and about going after enemy and retreat your navy maybe you can go destroy the enemy fleet. 33 small mesons will wreck a 15,000 ton ship.

Regarding the text file... it should be in the main folder where Aurora is installed.

I tried that, it said no chance to hit and the missles are to fast to react to them (5 sec intervall means by the time there is a chance to hit them, they are already hitting my ship)

Anyway, it seems schmetterling 01 proves more capable then you guys suggested, it sucked up 6 more missles since then, lost one engine, slowed down a little and a engy station, lots of damage, but its still going!!!

At the same time the moskitos are slowly closing in...

I am manualy targeting all weapons of both ships on the nearest missle every time now, it works suprisingly well...

6 missles, 4 shot down

Engeniering space lost and jump drive damaged...

The last ciws is going strong, 2 new missles, 1 shot down... one more engy space lost...

Nevermind! There goes the jump drive! bye bye!

Going a bit faster now, so this slaughter gets done :3

I don't get this game... still the combat expierence will proof usefull for the next designs...

Hmm... you have your fire control selected with the weapon etc? did you try the Auto fire button? maybe try that.... I dont know why they would have 0% chance to hit, how fast is the enemies ship?

EDIT----

here is your meson turret on the mosquito

 R7.5/C8 Meson Cannon (1)    Range 6,800km

6800 kilometers isnt 34,000 thats why you have zero chance to hit, keep closing in.

your mesons are super short ranged :)


Also, dont get depressed, think of how many Missiles you killed by letting them hit your ships!! Those babies take a long time to construct on planet, hahaha

Hehe, aye.

There lifes where not given for nothing, I shall do better next time...

I find it ironic that during the time the combat lasted and I cursed about not having anything with missles my size 100 missle laucher ship got done... fml.

Back to the drawing board!!!

Yup, the all got destroyed... the 2end schmetterling nearly got into weapon range before its 50 cm gun was blown out the back, it really had a good chance there, but they got a lucky hit :I
