Adventure Mode RANDOM BUFFER OVERLOAD
« on: December 31, 2009, 04:23:51 pm »

It seems that if you have too many starting sites to choose from for adventure mode, the game will crash. I discovered this after I retired an adventurer and went to start a new game, when the program crashed, and the errorlog had RANDOM BUFFER OVERLOAD all over it.

Could you upload the save folder that's causing this problem, please?  Also please upload any mods you're using (or a post link to them, if they're already available online).

The save that caused the problem has since been deleted :P

It seemed to be a problem when you have more than two pages of selectable races.

I regularly have over 5 pages of starting civs to choose from and don't crash, maybe it's something else?

It's also a large world, that might have to do with it.

You pretty much need to have a 257x257 to have five pages of [INDIV_CONTROLLABLE] civilizations...

In any case, I regularly generate Large worlds with over 30,000 historical figures alive at any given time, with history culling off, and with every single civ being available for adventuring, with no RBOs.
