I'd like to give the bird a nice cozy spot to live in, instead of this quantum handwavium inventory. I start with gathering wood

If I take one of the eggs from my clutch of 16 will that break it into 16 separate eggs? I don't have enough space for that!

But anyway, I search for animals to gather and later turn into fire lizard food.

yep, using one egg will split the stack, I'd fill your inventory with as many eggs as you could hold, and the rest would go into group storage. From there you would have to decide how many you wish to keep and such on your own.

rolls in an hour or so

Ah, I shall gather again.
attempt: 31+20=51
quality: 64
quantity: 92-64=28
Traveling out into the jungle, you decide to search deeper into the foliage. After an hour or so you come upon an obviously cultivated field of trees full with fruit. Making sure no one is around, you manage to grab a fair amount of the Oranges and make your trip back to the ship.

attempt: 62+20=82
quality: 57
base influence: 44+57+18(log)=119
After a little practice it dosen't take long to create your gears. The hefty log produces more than enough wood for such practices, and you start by shaving off the bark, and slicing the log up like a giant carrot. Each slice you take and carve a central opening, and several 'tines' into the outside radius of the pieces of wood. In the end you finish with three steering wheel sized gears.

attempt: 29
You have great plans to build something wooden for your giant feathered turkey. However it has other ideas. As you wander through the forest, the creature repeatedly squawks loudly at sights and sounds from your inventory, distracting you and generally irritating you. Eventually you get so fed up with the sounds you return to the ship empty handed, to debate making roast wher tomorrow.

Make a Katana Blade out of the exquisite copper bar
attempt: 35+20=55
quality: 12
base influence: 56+12+62(bar)=130
Channeling your inner samurai smith you prepare to make a copper sword blade. The metal easily heats up with your powers, and with a little careful pressing and hammering you fold the metal several times. Reheating between each folding, you eventually come up with a very sharp edge. However the blade itself is very weak, copper is about as soft a metal as you can find. So, with your powers you start working on the core of the weapon, aligning atoms and changing the internal structure to make the blade hard and strong. It may not be the prettiest sword ever, but it's functional.

But anyway, I search for animals to gather and later turn into fire lizard food.
attempt: 68-10(specifics)=58
quality: 26
quantity: 94-26=68
Thinking about food to feed your eggs, you decide that the easiest source of animal life is the sea off the cove. Weaving a net of glowing force power, you toss it out into the waters quite a bit. It takes a few tries, but eventually you spot a school of large fish with red fins and carefully cast your net. Only a few of the creatures escape, you haul your catch back to shore and count out a full 25 of the small redfin fish.

+ caught school of fresh redfin fish(25 fish, 12 units due to size)  !Base influence: 26!

Take bear bone and molar
then
Gather.
attempt: 13
Collecting the Bear bones and the molar from group storage you head out into the jungle. However your head is still filled with great plans for your bear bones and teeth, and you are distracted for most of the day. Passing over several items that just don't strike your fancy before you know it the day has slipped away, and you return to the ship. Perhaps gathering isn't your fortay.
+6 gather exp- black bear bone !Base influence: 62!

Note that I moved the wait list and the hibernation list to the first post of this thread, look there for any updates on that.

Group storage is fading fast, hope some of you gatherers plan to give up some of the horde for others to use. :)

Also, as we move into the third turn, remember the risk of final day gathering or trading!

Well, as intended, I'll give the gears over to group storage.

However, I have(improvised) plans for the "scrap".

I'll combine the bark into a small bowl, and fill it with the sawdust, after breaking the sawdust down further into a very fine dust. I don't really have a plan for it, but maybe someone else can use it? I'll just have to wait and see the results.

Take some of the used wood and turn it into charcoal, then form that carbon into Diamonds (wiki artificial diamonds)
