in a parallel universe, I attacked croata and won easily but before I recovered byzantium and hungary attack and bash me heavily, taking everything except the king title and 2 provinces
luckily, that was a parallel universe.

I HATE hungary... it is always there to stop my plans. I wish I was strong enough to attack it, but I would need at least twice the soldiers.

when will you post next update? I want to know the future of your dynasty!

Hungary is one of the few kingdoms that I feel always lasts in my games.
Even in this LP game France has morphed and changed quite a bit and Germany was pretty much dead (but managed a huge comeback and is now very powerful)- but most bigger kingdoms tend to collapse (they may recover but the point is they reach a vulnerable state) but Hungary never seems to do so...

As for next update... The LP reports are currently 'caught up' with my play time, so I need to play more. That won't happen until tonight at earliest, and then the update only has a chance of being tonight as well... otherwise tomorrow.

Things are getting sticky with the holidays approaching.
Also, I won't be able to play at all after tomorrow until Tuesday or so...

Anyone else annoyed at the superhuman speed with which enemies negotiate peace? I've just come out of two wars where byzantium has snapped up the provinces I won by negotiating peace with the person before I could even pause the game.

FACT: It's fun as hell to watch interactions between the two types of lords.

Hmmm I just found an interesting bug. My wife is married to another man!

I was wondering why she wasn't in my court and so I looked at her page, she has two living spouses registered. Now I HAVE to play this game just to see how it handles children.

I had the same thing happen. I didn't believe when the program told me that my wife is expecting a baby with me, despite living a 1000km away.

I was just playing Kalmar Lan(Scandinavia), and my prodigious son - now ruler - reached 28 military skill. I've conquered Pomerania and Prussia, then pledged allegiance to Sweden and got elected a king. At this point I realized that there is nothing worth achieving after becoming a King and stopped playing.

Yeh, my king of serbia game has cooled off a bit, currently I'm being forced to wait for my  reputation to increase and my now 62 year old father in law with the juicy claims to die before I can do much. So I started a new game back in merry england.

Thats where many people misunderstand the game.
You think its about making a kingdom, but its not- its about making a dynasty.

Not to mention, many people reach a big power kingdom position, then think 'i won'
But I dare you to let ten year pass... I highly doubt your kingdom will last.

true. My characted became crazed and due to that the whole kingdom started to crash. Such a shame, I nearly defeated hungary, I could have forced it to give me title of king of serbia.

Got Crusader Kings with Deus Vult today, hope I run into as many troubles as you have. Now installing 2.1 beta patch, getting DVIP, DVIP addon and the Bopack.

I have started as the count of northunbria, my brother is the King of Scotland apparently. I'm very young (started as 17 years old), got myself a lustful wife with a good deal of martial knowledge, and got me an heir, things are looking fine I must say. I've caught eye that the county of Derby is ruled by a depressed young slob with roughly the same military might as me, I decided to make a move, claim his title and wage war for his province.

Who would like to be ruled by a depressive count anyway? Still, he's better general then I am, and my marshall, who is a exiled noble from a distant lanc, has a rather odd assortment of skills, and unlike my other court members (who are extremely skilled in their areas, such as my midas touched steward), he's not that great of a marshall, but he's the best I got at the moment, it'll have to do, I'm making my move.

Difficult is normal and enemy AI is set to normal, this is fun.
