Dude... I didn't give out my predictions in the spreadsheet... ever... I just wrote numbers so people would know where they were supposed to go.

If anyone wants to know them...  I'll format them later.

Argentina is just the best team. The difference between watching Argentina vs. Nigeria 1-0 and France vs. Uruguay 0-0 is that Argentina is actually fun to watch even when they barely score.

Okay, so, today this girl I know-Lauren, just took a sudden dis-interest in talking to me. Is she just on her period or something?

Yep.  I suppose Argentina it's very fun to watch when you're neutral.  What a NICE goal from heinze...

Anyway... Slovenia won so my predictions keep up save England's blunder.

How do you guys make different people out of those little men running around the screen. I'm watching it in HD and I can't tell who's who.

I'm watching it in on a 25 year old Toshiba box with the sides of the screen cut off, and I can tell who's who. You should be able to with high def. They have numbers and colours.

And Argentina is never just nice. They are always great.

Heh, you should really get a new box then. I can see the numbers, but I don't know who is which number, and I can't memorize that table (y'know the one with player numbers and all) they show at the start either. But you're right, I should stop whining and actually enjoy the games.

Germany ended the first half with the Socceroos like a win will bring on the Fourth Reich.

I'm following the cup now, I found it profound at my first rugby game the crowd didn't really go crazy unless something eventful happened, and soccer seems to be the same way, except for a really eerie resounding hum of those trumpet-like things people use.

Lol, Alexhans, what's the point of making predictions if nobody sees them before the match? :P

That's just this year's world cup, because the vuvuzelas (those damn horns) made everyone deaf.

Lol, I got only the Algeria-Slovenia and Germany prediction right so far this cup. For a cup with only strong contenders, there's quite a lot of upsets going on. Certainly didn't expect Germany to win by 4 points, though. They did some great passing, but I expected the Socceroos to be able to hold them back a little. I'm expecting the biggest win to be 5-0 from Brazil-NK :P

It's not about definition.  It's about knowing the players or their positions (in case they look all alike like koreans to me :P).

vuvuzelas need to be banned right now... Also... the Argentinian supporters sing.  You can hear them.  They are loud and passionate.

I'm competing against my friends and coworkers.  They DID see my predictions before the world cup (deadline was the 10th and I filled mine in 10 minutes that same day).  No one here tried to compete with me so I never showed them here.  When I said I Was right I thought it was only fair to post my other predictions so that people wouldn't start making lame comments.  No, I do not really care because I'm not comparing myself to anyone here.  It was just sharing in hopes that people might do the same... I don't know...

I'm still first (7 right 1 wrong, we're not playing results) but I might terribly fail over the next games because I haven't put nearly enough ties considering the overly cautious playing of most teams in the first matches.

Print our your team's roster, and you're set. No need to memorize anybody else's numbers, they're weak and inferior.

Any thoughts on the Golden Boot?

Seems likely to me that it may even be won (or at least decided) in the group stages, maybe even Drogba could get 3 or 4 against NK and then seal it?

Good start from Germany, but Klose has started off quite wastefully (he could have had 3 or 4 against Aus) - is he going to top it up in the next two games against an arguably superior two teams in Serbia and Ghana?

Also Italy have a turkey shoot against New Zealand, plus they have to be one of the favourites to go far in the competition, but are any of their strikers prolific enough?

I really want to put a bet on it in the early stages, but I just don't know who to go with.

I already know that England isn't going to win, and I don't really care about football anyway. If I hear anything about 1966 again I will kill.

Yeah really fucking annoying is a better term for it. For some reason I thought it was a faulty audio feed, because I couldn't wrap my mind around a legion of people contributing to such a god awful noise
