I have a question. How in the hell does combat work (and why am I getting my ass kicked by a fox)?

It doesnt on your level.

Go make some buckets and get your melee up and you can beat the fox.

I resolved my technical woes. Yay. Well, some of them. At least it doesn't crash any more.

Buckets? What do you need those for?

Anyways, took cib's advice and wandered the rivers looking for crops. Found onions (which are oddly common in this region, I must have seen at least 5 different clusters of the things) and hops, then returned to my claim. Found Errol's land (and for kicks, my first camp from when I was more of a newb than now), but I didn't take anything.

So I got a good amount of stuff, but I could still get more. Particularly, I need some sort of string for my immidiate building plans. Anyone know where the "string plants" (Hemp, Flax, and Spindly Root or something along thise lines) are commonly found? Or how getting wool from sheep works?

If anyone needs flax seeds, I've always got a stockpile them sitting unused for grass-making.

I suppose that would be me, if you don't mind. How would I get to your camp (from an intersection on the map, like Zebra Crossing or something) and where would I find the seed? I'll only take 1 or 2 so I can grow my own for string.

I think this is a lesson not to give out your hearth secret publicly on the forum. We all know how many griefers like to play this game, and its easy to just watch this thread and never say anything and just make a new character to walk off with stuff.

Well, register and download the Java file (it might not be in .JNLP format, in which case just rename it and add a .JNLP suffix and you're good to go, son) then do whatever you want.

I guess you could join us here, if you want I can PM you my Hearth secret.

EDIT: I'll teach you a bit about the game, though I'm no guru.
