I've been thinking of running a mafia game recently, like One Day Mafia, but with a ruleset that I already know; the One Night Werewolf rules.
The basic premise is that everyone is given a role at the start, and two-three role cards are placed in the center of the table. Almost all roles have some sort of power with them except for 2-3 villager cards which may or may not be in the middle. During Night 0, things get interesting.
The usual Werewolves knowing who eachother are and Masons knowing who eachother are is the same. The other roles however do something else entirely. The robber gets to switch his role with someone elses, without their knowledge, and assumes the role of the robbed player. The trickster switches 2 players roles, the drunk switches his role with one in the middle, the seer looks at a player's card or half the middle cards. (2/3 if there is three) And at the end of all this madness, the insomniac wakes up and gets to check if their still the Insomniac.
When day rises, players must discuss and vote on who they think is a werewolf. The town wins if they kill a werewolf, the werewolves win if they get everyone to kill a townie. There are other roles which will change the game up that I haven't mentioned here as well, which can make things more interesting.
The day would last 60 hours, pending, and a 24 hour warning of game start would also be given out. Thoughts? Criticism? Cookies?
