Just got mine and I've been having a great time with Mr. JakeTamber figuring everything out and having a good play around. It's not what I was expecting but damn if it isn't interesting. Whilst we wait a week or two for more of us to generate invites and fire them off, how about a username share thread and one of us start a Dwarf Fortress Wave? Done. You should be able to access it now. From what all of us can tell, there's no option to create a 'public wave' that anyone can search for an access right now, although it does seem like an option that would be coming eventually.
