Migrant oddity
« on: October 17, 2009, 04:06:38 pm »

Has anyone else had stray war dogs arrive in their migrant waves?  I haven't been able to find out anything about it on the wiki and I've never heard of it happening anywhere else before.

Not sure, I think I somehow got one from a caravan though.

Do you have a random dead dwarf? Sometimes a migrant will die immediatly onb spawning, which would turn any pets it had into strays, IIRC.

Have you ever trained any wardogs yourself in the fort? Or took some on embark?
I have never ever seen a migrant arrive with a trained animal..

No, and the war dog was nameless, so I'm pretty sure it's never belonged to anyone.

I have a lot of war dogs, but I'm certain this one came in the migrant wave and didn't just happen to be wandering around there.

I'm incredulous - never seen this.  I'd want to bet it's one of yours that you've lost track of.

But anything's possible, if at least as a glitch.  :-\

Did it follow the "beeline" path that the other migrants did upon arrival, or wander around?

All my war dogs are caged/chained and it was flashing a grey X.
