May need to give a presentation to a college class tomorrow. It's only 5 to 7 minutes long and I think I'm relatively prepared, but I'm still nervous and hoping that the class runs out of time before my turn to present comes up. Then I'd get more time to prepare (and more time to be nervous).

Basically aaaaaaaaagh stage fright aaaagh. If only I hadn't procrastinated on this assignment so much aaaaaah.

This isn't where I want to be, and I have no idea how to even begin trying to get to a place I do want to be... or if such a place even exists.

Right now I'm even missing the horrible, brutally cold weather down where I lived before, where during Winter my extremities were numb day in and day out and the skin would be practically flayed from my face by the harsh, cold winds. But I wasn't really happy there, was I? Maybe if I could get a place of my own, by myself... but that's hard to do. Very hard. Maybe I couldn't do it and would just make things even worse, again. If they can get worse, I'm not convinced. All this stress and not knowing what to do feels like it's rotting my insides.

Apparently this desk is super fucking shitty.

It's made of chipboard covered in some faux-wood plasticy... covering.

Over the months I've had this desk there's been two issues:
1) The faux wood plastic stuff is weak as hell
2) Because of 1, what I assume are the oils from my skin have steadily been seeping into the chipboard and weakening it, accelerating the rate at which the faux wood covering comes off.

A great big chunk came out of the desk after a hit out of frustration because the chipboard has become way too weak. At every corner the faux wood covering is coming off...

This'll probably piss my mum off come 6 months when it's at a point of falling apart since she paid for it and while it's some months old, you expect a desk to last more than a single year.

Just buy a good desk, rather than a cheap one. I've had my desk for a little more than ten years now, and everything still works fine.

+1 Seriously. Rest. Acceptance of your situation, all the shit that's not going your way, might help. Your situation's unpleasant enough as is, the last thing you need is yourself heaping more pain and suffering onto you. It'll all be okay.
