I might be getting fired because of the constant social fucksphere that is the health sector.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

I wonder if I should make a health and wellness thread to help keep me in line and answer whatever questions I have...
Anybody else want that to happen to help them as well?

Should be ok as long as people don't start giving out medical advice. <_<

That's pretty much my parents' reaction to everything.
"Hi mum, how was your day?"
"CANCER!"

It's the night before a very important meeting and it's really early tomorrow. Issue is, because I'm crazy nervous about it, I can't sleep.
This whole thing depends on me saying the right stuff, and me being overly tired is Really not going to fix it- and I don't even know what I'd say if I went in running on a caffeine buzz.
I hate that I can identify the problem and yet my body is overtly betraying me.

:( Sorry Tack.
I know that feeling- even if I don't usually have quite such high stakes riding on whether I get enough sleep. Good luck.

Mine does :( I mean, she's ok, they caught it early and cut it out, no thearpy required. They've done that twice now and the Dr. is pretty sure they got it all, only time will tell. Still makes me sad to think of.

Always sad. Cue resurgence of everyone's favourite American debate, while one kid is dead and another scarred for life. Yet to many the news is just a weapon, or something to defend against.

In a perfect world, people would take safety classes, get the free gun locks from the police, keep the guns unloaded when not in service, and educate their children on the dangers of playing with things like that.

Even with proper safety education it's still going to happen, kids are idiots
What parents should do is lock the guns up and not give the kids the combo to the lock, or at least have then locked up when they aren't home

Something similar happened to the not-yet-king of Spain back in the fifties

More recently his grandson blew up his own foot playing with a shotgun. To be honest the whole family is somewhat retarded after centuries of inbreeding so in their particular case it came to noone's particular surprise. If they didn't have legal immunity* due to being the royal family, they'd likely get absolved anyway in account of them being feeble-minded.

*It's true! Article 3 of section 56 of the Spanish constitution: "The person of the King is inviolable and shall not be held accountable."
AKA: He could grab a rifle, start shooting random bystanders in the face, and get away scot-free!
