New sad: Getting threatened by the coworker that used to poison my drinks.
I hope he gets fired soon.
I'm beginning to seriously consider carrying some form of non-lethal weapon with me to work.

Computer is probably fucked.

I make a big deal out of the charger chord not picking up unless I twist it right.

Parents claim that me using a laptop on my bed with the charger chord fucked up the mechanisms inside. Yelling of course, because what parent doesn't?

Mom has my computer, probably just raged at it. I don't know what to do.

I'm probably out of a computer now, because if course my dad's fucking sunroof glass thing is broken and he doesn't have a roof section for his truck.

Parents probably think my objection to help is because I've been doing things they don't like. Probably gonna look into it if somehow, my computer isn't fucked and it's the chord and they but a new one. I don't know. I'm just fucking sad because all my... /things/ are on there and I'm going to lose them. They might take the hard drive out, but the point stands.

I just fucking hope that this laptop isn't fucked. Then I can say 'I fucking told you so' to them without fear. Without the swear of course.

Ffffuck.

EDIT: Well. I knew it. It was the chord.

If the charger only works in a certain position it has nothing to do with the computer insides. Most likely the problem is just that the wires on either the charger plug/port are working loose, something that is a fairly basic common wear and tear thing that happens after a few years of use. You might have sped up the problem if you liked to have the charger plugged in in such a way that the cable was bent, but other than that it's just something that happens due to use, not really anything you can do about it. If the problem is the charger you can probably just get a new one, if it's the laptop then it depends on the exact model whether you will be needing a whole new laptop or if you can get it repaired, I'd try taking it in and asking the computer repair guys if they can do anything about your particular brand of laptop.

Is there no Anti-Violence-In-The-Workplace initiative at your work?
Because threatening violence is considered violence-in-the-workplace, and if it's reported, the threaten-er can be fired for it.
Poisoning is even worse, and should DEFINITELY be reported.

If I had to guess it's not something life threatening (ok extremely life threatening)

But I'm curious myself as to what kind of poison

It was some kind of cleaning chemical.
I'm trying to talk to the manager in charge, but they seem to be avoiding me.
Back when he did it, I did tell a manager, and they didn't care.
I'm guessing they won't care about this, either.

Call the police, then, if you have evidence. And notify someone higher up (As in, higher than your manager, if there is).

I don't have evidence.
That's the problem, and nobody listens to what I say.

But next time I see the general manager, I'm telling them.

Get a recorder and try to record him threatening you or admitting he poisoned your drink. Shit, if that chemical was lethal, you could sue him for attempted murder.

You could put up a motion capture camera near your cup of [favorite drink] and see if you can catch video of him doing it and then keep the liquid in the cup as evidence if you go to court

I don't have the means to obtain any sort of devices like those, though.

I'll talk to the manager when I can. If they don't listen, I'm calling the cops, they may not be able to do anything, but the report will be there in the system.
If all else fails, I'm sure I can get a new job.

How do you know he's poisoning your drinks?
