My throat is getting progressively sore. If I'm getting sick then my life is gonna suck for a while because college and I can't afford to get sick when I have tests coming up soon I need to go to class and study for.

Oh jeez, I'm almost out of ibuprofen, and I don't want to go overbudget for the month. Ugh. Gonna be a long week.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

On the third day of college, my inbox showed to me:

Three piles of homework
Two tough courses
And an ex's attempt to message me

How is it that I go to the sad thread and get laughter?

I just go to the forum and get laughter.

Honestly, I think Toady pumped this place full of nitrous oxide or something.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

Sometimes my friends and I just get together and talk. They like reminiscing about school days. What makes me sad is that I can hardly remember my school days at all. They remember all the fun stuff, while all I have is some vague images of things that may have happened. I'm trying to come up with some examples of fun things I can't actually remember happening, but... I can't remember them...
My memory sucks.

I've pinpointed the exact moment LSP descended into his current posting style.

...

It was a post on the sad thread.
