'Cuz if you aren't always wanting someone then you are teh gays. Or at least that's what people have been telling me whenever I try to say anything about it.
Nah, you're just not interested in it. Not everyone is... personally I'm what a lot of people consider a "hopeless romantic", so I'm the other side of the coin.

I actually got screamed at in a restaurant once for not wanting to ogle the waitress' ass.
I got screamed at for opening the door for a girl once. I was a "chauvinist pig" that day.

Heh, guess I don't have much right to complain.. :P It'd just be nice if I didn't always wind up falling for people that would eventually cheat on me... just once.
Simple solution. Just don't fall for people that would eventually cheat on you. Scientifically simple. What do you mean this isn't how romance works?

By your mother? :V
I was gonna say, if it was his mom doing the screaming, it's pretty much meaningless. Blackflyme's mum be cray. super cray.

Yea, and her boyfriend. He started it, really.

I whispered that I wasn't going to and she started screaming at me not to say things like that because it would embarrass her, and people would think I was gay.

Because screaming at your kid and then demanding out loud that he should stare at women so that he could be 'fixed' totally isn't embarrassing.

She literally started pointing out female patrons in the restaurant and demanded that I stare at them.

Basically at this point, anything and everything your mother told you, do the exact opposite.

You should probably even start talking backwards, no doubt she managed to fuck that up, too.

OK, that's odd. I'm pretty sure you were just trying not to embarrass the waitress, and even if you were gay, gay isn't something that can be "fixed" and she'd have been wasting her time on that. All she achieved was embarrassing you and those waitresses in public.

Also, your....niece? I...don't think I could see family as super hot :/

Maybe just me, and I suppose my only close female relation anywhere near my age is my sister. Don't even have any cousins.

Not like I was attracted to her or anything, it's just that she was good-looking to the point that it was hard not to notice. Jeez.
Especially since I was in my early-mid teens. ...I had something hilarious to say here but then I forgot it. Damn.

Feeling scared and sad.
Tried to make myself feel happy with music.
Now I'm feeling a mix of fear, sadness, happiness and anxiety.

...This is probably the first time I've stared at something in my life with my mouth half open in trying to comprehend it.
...
That is the weirdest belief I've ever seen others get.

My dad tells me to ignore her. He says that for as long as he's known her, everything she does has been about controlling people. He's also joked that when I do get a girlfriend, I shouldn't bring her to my mom because my mom would eat her alive. Given that my mom has metaphorically chased away girls that got close to me, I wouldn't be surprised if that turned out to be true.

She really does not like gay people. No idea why.

Must be previous (and I best presume, really jaded/biased) ideas/experiences there :/
Your dad is awesome by the way...
Part of me really wants to poke your mother (in a non-disrespectful way) to realize how..skewed her perception is. Though it won't help if they aren't...open? willing, for it though. :-\
Seems like a deep(?) underlying belief influences your mother's perception on details and things in life.
