It's 33 (92) fucking degrees outside.

Not cool nature.
Thankyou for using Centigrade. Seriously, I really appreciate it.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

I saw a little lapdog running around completely lost. I trapped him in the yard. Nobody wanted to do anything with him, though he had no chance of survival on his own. After all morning and basically 8 hours I found his owner, who didn't seem the least bit grateful. Screw people. Sometimes I just don't get them at all.

the dog's probably grateful  :)

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

Then you get cities like Paris where you should basically just kill yourself already.

You won’t have to think anymore: it’ll be just like having fun!

The ling part comes from Zergling actually. Didn't know it was more of a generic thing at the time.

So much goddamn cleaning. Oh well, the bathroom's 3/5 done and I took the liberty of replacing the drip pans and stuff on the stove since the old ones were unsalvageably filthy. Roommate ought to appreciate that, since he offered to clean the kitchen (which is more work than the rest of the apartment put together, so I feel like helping out is the least I can do).

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

In a freak accident, a fleck of garden soil flew into my eye and literally lodged itself in the back of the socket, refusing to come out. I finally washed it out, but an infection is pretty much guaranteed. Not looking forward to that.

Well that sucks.

Good luck with your apparent impending infection.

I broke down crying last night from a harmless thought about my attractiveness.
What the hell, brain.

I can't sleep. And it's driving me bloody mad.

I don't know what to do about it, besides TAKE DRUGS THAT MAKE ME FALL ASLEEP NEAR AUTOMATICALLY.

Last time I did that, I got to the point where I couldn't sleep without them AT ALL. I kicked it, thankfully. I don't want to get hooked on Nitol...Just fall asleep, you TWAT.
