This reminds me of a conversation I had with a friend once in high school. He claimed he knew the surname of every one in our year (around 200 people).

I ran out of first names I knew before he made a single mistake :|

I'm INTP. Hopefully I can remember it this time so I can avoid retaking that test for a while.

I like to think I remember almost everyone's names and avatars. I don't remember much more than that for most people. If I particularly like or dislike you I'll probably remember a lot more.

To continue, SalmonGod, the most powerful cognitive function in an INTJ is Introverted Intuition, and it is the reason why this behavior looks like literal memory management. A highly-developed iN will, driven by knowledge and experience, rapidly categorize all incoming data. Some of this data does not meet previous requirements of usefulness, and thus is immediately trashed. Names are a common target, since you can interact with a person a lot without knowing their name and it has low functional usage. This is why most INTJs can relate to the experience of learning a person's name and standard greeting, only to be unable to recall it literally seconds later. And, as with all cognitive functions, iN exists in both the conscious and the subconscious, which can make it frustrating when it makes a mistake operating on the latter level. I've had iN discard my knowledge of my own passwords before in this very manner.

There are other effects as well. Because iN is, well, intuitive, it can create a Tv Tropes Will Ruin Your Life effect. It's particularly bad with movies, which I began to be able to disassemble long before the endings around my mid-teens. I've also been accused of being psychic in other contexts.

I seem to be INFP. I guess I got a pretty good remembrance of people, maybe. It may take some time though to remember like people from a couple of years ago. Hm. I guess it just about describes me in the loosest sense that interpretation allows for. :V

I'm a perfect INTP (according to the Wikipedia page on INTPs), although the test classified me as pretty much directly in between all the categories. Maybe it's because half the questions were loaded.

I'm not sure whether to talk about this stuff here or in the personality poll thread.

Extravert(1%)  iNtuitive(12%)  Thinking(50%)  Perceiving(39%)

You have marginal or no preference of Extraversion over Introversion (1%)
You have slight preference of Intuition over Sensing (12%)
You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (50%)
You have moderate preference of Perceiving over Judging (39%)
Wow, I sure did get a lot less extreme since last time. Though I'm pleased that E/I has swung more towards neutral than 'I', because that's a thing I have to fix still.

For some reason I've been really overly sensitive to people calling me "sir" for the past few days. I have no idea why, I'm usually used to it, but suddenly every time I hear it feels like a punch to the gut.
Who calls people "sir" anyway?
Older people, the kind who volunteer in kitchens for feeding homeless people. I get called "sir" at least once a day. Sometimes it gets even worse when they're saying something about my masculinity every other sentence.
Once, I asked them to give me everything they were serving, so every time my plate moved to the next person, I heard "The/this man wants everything" "He wants everything?"
Fuck pronouns. Why can't English have simple genderless ones like most every other language?

From what I heard about etymology (or related word, can't pinpoint it) was that 'he' was gender neutral o-o
Take it as a compliment Allee! In a way... :o
